Info on Environment & Conservation For Residential Electric Customers
Residential Rebate Application Form 2010 Conservation Rebate Application (PDF) CFL RecyclingCompact Fluorescent Lights, like all fluorescent lights, contain small amounts of mercury. Therefore, they should not be disposed of in the landfills as the mercury could potentially contaminate our land, water and air. OPU accepts CFLs for recycling from residential customers at no charge at our office. OPU does not accept for recycling linear fluorescent tubes; these can be dropped off at local hardware stores for a small fee. Watts-up Meters™OPU customers may borrow Watts-Up™ meters from OPU at no charge. These meters allow customers to determine how much electricity various appliances in their homes consume.
